Local History

Our Local History collection is located on the second floor of the Catskill Public Library. Patrons, accompanied by staff, may browse the physical collection, which includes Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps, Eastside Historic District “blue sheets”, Catskill High school Yearbooks, history of life along the Hudson River and in the Catskill Mountains, and more! Duplicates of some of the history books are available in the regular collection and may be checked out.

For help with specific local history questions, including genealogy, please contact the Catskill Public Library Reference Librarian, Beth Hague, at reference@catskillpubliclibrary.org.

Please visit our Digital Archives page to see the list of online local history resources.
